SPRING
Cherry blossoms are a must see. High water rafting.
SUMMER
The season of lavender and flowers, festivals, BBQs, bike riding and mountain trekking. Also the roads are perfect for motorcycle enthusiasts.
AUTUMN
Golf, the bear mountain in Sahoro, momiji (maple) trees changing colours – a treat for avid photographers.
WINTER
Skiing, ice fishing, fireworks, back country snow mobiles, hot hair ballooning. There are four ski resorts within easy access (approximately 1 hour by road) from Furano: Kamui, Tomamu, Sahoro and Asahidake (for back country).
There are also very experienced back country guides in the area.
Asahiyama zoo is always an excellent family day out regardless of season.
